Etsy

So, I have been talking a lot about posting something on Etsy. I have had a lot of trouble with it, and delays, all on my end.

Well, I have finally listed! You can find this quilt listed here .

Frog Quilt Take Two

I decided to go ahead and make another frog quilt. I will be having a new nephew sometime in the next few weeks, and he gets to come home to this fun quilt! :)

Square of the Day

So, I have begun on the project set forth at Fifteen Minutes Play. Today I actually did three blocks. You know me, I have a hard time stopping some times. But it did take the 15 minutes to finish the first one.

I have not done a crazy quilt yet. I didn't see the value in them before. To be honest, I thought that they would be hard.

Now I know differently! I had so much fun putting them together today. And now I know that there was a reason for me to be saving the scraps over the years. I am glad that I did. :)

From now on I will be posting pictures of what I have done that day, and calling the SOTD (Square of the Day). At the end of the week I will post all of my pictures on Fifteen Minutes Play.

Hopefully I will keep up with this little project. I have a feeling it wont be difficult, especially on days like today when I needed some stress relief. :)

Fifteen Minutes Play

At Material Mary's I followed over to Fifteen Minutes Play.

I think that this is a cool idea! With all of the quilts I have been making I have quite a lot of scraps. I have been thinking about a way to be able to use them, and now I have one! AND I have been thinking that I need to make a quilt for myself. The only problem with that is that I "don't have time". Well, I CAN take 15 minutes a day to do this.

So, here's to a quilting for myself! :)

Spiderweb Quilt

Here is the quilt I finished today. I had a mental block on this one and it took me three years to finally finish it, if you can believe that! My good friend Ada was the lucky recipient of this one. :)

So, you all know that I love to fabric shop right?

Well, over at V. and Co. they are doing a giveaway from Green Fairy Quilts. Go give it a look! And wish me luck ... I hope I actually can win this one! :) (I am starting to get low on variety!)

Eric's Quilt

Well, it is finally done! This is the quilt I have made for our fourth child.

The quilts that I do for my kids are done completely by hand. A sewing machine has not touched this quilt. For me it makes it that much more special. :) I started a bit late on this one. I think that I started it two months ago. I have also been very busy during that time as well. I am glad that I have finally been able to finish it.

I have taken the patterns of two different quilts in the Fons and Porter magazine For the Love of Quilting. I love how it has turned out and I hope you do to!

Full view of the quilt, front and back:

Pictures are of each block from the middle. I included these because each of these blocks are unique.

EA's Quilt

Here is the quilt I made for my friend from church. I love how this one turned out! And it matches the little girl who it is meant for quite nicely.:)

This quilt measures about 40x40.

Rachel's quilt

Well, here is the quilt I sent off to my new niece. My sister in law just got it today(that was quick) and said that if I had not said anything about the stenciling, she would not have noticed. Oh well! At least she loves it!:)

Baby Quilt factory is open again!

It has taken me a long time to get back to this point, but I believe I have started back on my goal of making a baby quilt for everyone. We shall see how it goes after the baby, but for now that is what I am claiming anyway!:)

This is what I just made for a lady in my ward for her little boy.

This is machine pieced and hand quilted. I just quilted "in the ditch" with some glow in the dark thread, so there is not much detail to show.

I should be finishing the two t-shirt quilts by the weekend, and then hopefully two other baby/lap quilts soon after that. Stay tuned for those ones!:)

T-Shirt Quilt

Here is a quilt that was commissioned by a friend of a friend. It is the first t-shirt quilt I have done. I am pleased with how it has turned out. She provided me with the t-shirts and pajama bottoms and gave me free reign. This was a present for her mother for Christmas. I have two more smaller quilts to make out of the t-shirts she has provided, and will hopefully get to them this week.:)
